Loren Eisley Biography
Loren Eiseley was a highly respected anthropologist, writer, ecologist, and poet. He published several books in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. He is best known for the poetic essay style, called the "hidden essay.' He used this to explain complex scientific ideas to the general public. He is also well known for writing about humanity's relationship with the natural world. Some of his books include:The Immense Journey (1957), The Unexpected Universe (1969), The Night Country (1971), and the memoir All the Strange Hours (1975). Loren Eiseley died in 1977.
